The Hudson Disaster Animal Response Team (Hudson DART) assists the town and its citizens to incorporate planning for pets in both town and personal emergency planning.

Disaster Animal Response Teams (DARTs) are local volunteer teams that help to support the needs of people and their pets during disasters or emergencies. Why are DARTs needed? There have been too many disasters where people have been forced to choose between their own safety and that of their pets, to the detriment of both. By planning ahead, we can develop strategies to support the needs of people AND pets.

Emergency preparedness is a team effort, built up from individual and family plans, and supported by a network of local, state and national plans. Resources on this site include information on How to Prepare Yourselves and Your Pets for an Emergency Evacuation, Pet Disaster Kit Checklists, and more.
